This policy explains what information Hearth & Home of Marin collects through this website, how we use it, and who we share it with.
What we collect
When you fill in the contact form on our home page, we collect your first and last name, email address, phone number, and whatever you choose to tell us about your project. If you tick the box to sign up for news and updates, we also add your email address to our mailing list.
Our website is built and hosted on Squarespace. Squarespace places cookies on your device and records basic information about your visit, including the pages you view, your approximate location, the type of device and browser you use, and the site you came from. You can manage cookies through the cookie banner on our site or in your browser settings.
We use Google reCAPTCHA on our forms to block spam, and Google Search Console, which shows us the search terms people use to find us. Search Console data is aggregated and does not identify anyone individually. We do not run advertising pixels or third-party analytics on this site, and we do not collect payment information here.
How we use it
We use what you send us to answer your question, prepare an estimate, arrange an installation or service visit, and follow up about your project. If you opted in, we use your email address to send occasional news and updates. We use the automatically collected information to keep the site working and to understand which pages are useful.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for advertising. We share information with the companies that run parts of our website and email: Squarespace, which hosts the site and processes form submissions and mailing list emails, and Google, for reCAPTCHA and Search Console. If you ask us to arrange service, or we refer you to an outside technician or trade, we will pass on only what is needed to do that. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
Tracking across other sites
Cookies set through our site by Squarespace and Google may recognise your device on other websites that use the same services. We do not allow third parties to collect personal information about your activity across other websites for advertising purposes.
Do Not Track
Some browsers can send a Do Not Track signal. There is no agreed standard for how websites should respond to it, and our site does not currently respond to those signals.
Seeing or changing your information
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Contact us using the phone number, email addresses or postal address above and we will take care of it. Every marketing email we send includes an unsubscribe link, and you can ask us to remove you at any time.
Children
This website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

If we make a material change to this policy we will post the updated version on this page and change the date at the top. Please check back from time to time.
